Josh Sayer, one of my brother's best friends, passed away in his sleep last night. I believe he had recently turned 18 years old.
I Just cannot believe something like this happened. The fact it happened just before christmas. The fact that neither his friends or his poor family didn't get the chance to say goodbye, and will not get the chance to see him grow up.
I never got to meet Josh, only briefly talked to him on Xbox live, but my brother talked about him all the time, and from what he said about him i could tell he was a great person and a great friend.
This really puts what pathetic little "problems" that i, and countless other people THINK they have, into perspective. When people get upset that a few things don't go their way, imagine how 2 parents feel now that they will never get to kiss, hug or even see their son again. It really brings home how sellfish and self-centred i am, knowing that life can end just like that.
R.I.P Josh Sayer, FOSM, JSMTN - my prayers are with you and your family & friends.

Hallelujah - how it is supposed to sound
Of all the artists to cover Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, Jeff Buckley's version is head and shoulders above the rest.
